Trace,

Thank you for the comment, you said that more concisely than what I wrote above, thank you for that.

This post might be more informal than usual but I wanted to really get the raw key commments that I get daily from people we work with. Plus I want anybody looking to make the jump that now is the time to do it.

What I find most is that people don't realize that this is a full time job initially to create a personal brand online. Blogging is a great tool to start doing this but most people find out quickly that it takes a lot of effort and time. All those "people" out there started out by doing just this and built up a following by being a thought leader. Content is kind and traffic will come if you build it.

Great Insight Scott. I believe that there really is so many more questions that I have heard come up when talking and meeting with others over coffee as the describe how they wish they could be online in a way that actually reflects who they are instead of a flat HTML page and dull description with no "Pop".

But they miss the point and instead of getting involved with the people who can create this stuff they in turn try and learn it themselves and often by the time they have learned the basics the web has moved on. (this is exactly what happened with my Uncle)

Great stuff as always Scott!
