6 Ways to Generate More Traffic Out of Your Images
Since the rise of PInterest the interest in image marketing has skyrocketed. Here we are talking about much more than infographics (which seem to be way to common). The article we highlight now provides some good tips on image marketing:
Tactic #1 – Optimize your images for people
Tactic #2 – Optimize your images for search engines
Tactic #3 – Optimize your images for social media
Tactic #4 – Optimize alt tag and title text of images
Tactic #5 – Optimize image file names
Tactic #6 – Optimize for image load speed
One thing that really comes to mind is all the images I see on Facebook. I’m sure you’ve seen these as well. From the latest meme to inspirational sayings. While those are okay I really think it’s time to get past that. Find ways to explain and solve the problems your target market has visually.
I’d even say go beyond the infographic– I really think those are getting way to widely made. Find a way to create unique visuals and something that can be immediately identified with you or your brand.
There is nothing worse than waiting for a page to load. As a user you probably get impatient won’t wait that long…and if it’s your site that is taking so long to download, understand that for every additional second of download time you lose 7% of your conversions!
So naturally you would want to strip out anything from your website that isn’t necessary… such as images, right?
But here’s the issue…images are so much more important these days, especially for blog posts. Images explain complex information, they are easier to consume and they generate more social media shares.
