how do I know if I started a store or not? It was late and I was tired and think I started a FB store but can’t find it anywhere? Is there somewhere in my account I can find out? I have to cancel it today if it is open. Thank you .

Cool! We’re excited to see how you’ll like our implementation. Here’s the link to the docs, that should kick-start your Facebook store:

@Solidshops looks like a great option. We’ll take a look at it and most likely get a video overview together by the middle of the week.

Thanks for the great info on FacebOok stores. I’ve seen them about but never really thought they would fit with our business strategy, but as I was reading it, a couple of your comments “clicked” with what I was reading earlier in the week and the “light bulb” went off in my head.

This is definitely something I am going to seriously look at implementing. This could be big for us!

@bwh48 If you want to try out SolidShops for your new Facebook store, feel free to follow us on twitter on and we’d be happy to give you an account for free for three months. Good luck with your business!

I know very easy way to create your own web store – Miscake Stores. It is designed for people, who do not want to spend their time on IT issues and want to be entirely focused on their business matters. Moreover, users of Miscake Stores do not have to be familiar with programming languages, hosting and mailing servers administrating and other problems. It is much more flexible than store on facebook.

Any other account apart from paypal?

    • ScottScanlon

@CharlesA I should update this post… most of those solutions now offer other pay options besides just paypal.

@ScottScanlon @CharlesA Scott, will you be doing an article about “How to Create a Store on the iPhone”? that’s what we do. we built a Facebook page to iPhone app converter, Facebook page tabs become iPhone app functions. No coding necessary. Not sure we have the right solution, but we believe every business will have its own iPhone app, and we can drive the price down to the equivalent of a domain name. Please visit if this is something you may write about :) and we can build you your own iPhone app based on your Facebook page for free!

It’s too soon to lament the demise of F-commerce. What we do know is that replicating retailers’ ecommerce sites is not the way to go about generating revenue via Facebook, at least for now.

Quote: “a WordPress based content curation platform… if your not curating your missing out on traffic – Curation Traffic”
    – You need to fix this. It should be ” if you’re not curating you’re missing out on traffic”.

    • ScottScanlon

@Alan Rossi Thanks Alan, got that fixed.

  • DarlaMatthews has PayPal, 2checout or your own merchant account so there’s some more options.  I’m trying it out right now.

I am almost finished populating my new Facebook art gallery (Bruce Palmer Galleries) with art for sale in seven different Albums.  I had been under the impression that the artists names would be searchable on Google, and show up in the results list.  This appears not to be the case.  Does anyone know if or how this can be set up (if at all)?

Nice information, many thanks to the author. It is incomprehensible to me now, but in general, the usefulness and significance is overwhelming.

  • Tender

Your site is quite interesting and very well written. I like the way it is organized and presented. Very concise and articulate.

  • Curtman40

I personally would only setup a facebook store if I have followers as it would not make any sense to open a store unless you have trust and respectability.

“If your looking for a more robust solution” …. we need a new job title/role for websites – your/you’re spell checker. Cannot believe people still get it wrong. Basic English.

  • Mandy

it’s not free, you can either have the free option which only allows you to list up to 10 items, anything more you have to pay a monthly subscription :(
