Are You Certain of What Will Happen?

holes-in-bucket

A few years ago I learned a technique that has drastically changed my approach and effectiveness with my sales.

The Salesperson must be able to exactly describe to management what will happen if we put this proposal on the table.

Now from a sales manager’s perspective this is a critical concern in managing a sales organization or an independent salesperson.

What a sales manager wants to hear is what is going to happen, not what they feel will happen, but what will happen. That’s the goal. read more →

Your One Idea

Recently I was listening to the Podcast EconTalk by Russ Roberts who was interviewing Nassim Taleb. Are You Looking in the Light or Dark for Success

A guy comes out of a bar, he sees a guy on his hands and knees looking for something under a street light.

So he goes over and asks him if he can help.

The guy says

Yeah, I lost my keys

He responds

Okay I’ll help you look, where did you see them last?

The guy on his knees under the street light points over into the dark and says

I saw it over there…

The guy who came out of the bar said

Why aren’t you looking there?

The guy responds…

Well the light is much better here I can see better.

Only one question…

Are you looking where you can see or are you looking where you are most likely to find success?

…in whatever you do.

Uh Oh… My Social Network is Offline… and Why That’s a Good Thing

Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and all social networks are great for meeting new people, even maintaining connections, and driving traffic to your website.

The only problem is that sitting behind the screen making comments, updates, and likes simply is not enough. Not if you want massive results.

Yes, there is one surefire way to explode your networking and connections. Take it a step beyond the interwebs and take your connections offline.

That’s right; connect with people in reality, not social reality. Yes a bold concept. I could go on here for a few paragraphs why this is effective but I’m hoping you already get it. Plus I value your time. So let’s move onto some tips we have learned in doing this. Read more of watch the video below.
