Updated 11:40 AM PHT Mon, March 26, 2018 Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 23) — Vivo on Thursday unveiled its newest model — the V9 — packed with features powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to help users take better photos. Vivo’s new 5.5-inch phone sports a new, full view 6.3-inch display, 5.2 percent bigger than its previous generation. The phone also offers a 24-megapixel front camera with a dual rear camera of 16- and 5-megapixel resolutions.
This dual camera setup allows users to take bokeh shots with shallow depth-of-field. It also has AI Selfie Lighting and Face Beauties features to enhance selfies. The phone’s new AI Smart Engine also picks up on a user’s habits, accurately predicting their next move and readying apps for launch 20 percent faster than most phones.
It also allows for AI Face Access Technology to reduce risk of unlocking phones when shown photos of videos, for better data privacy. An updated game mode in the V9 can also block all messages, calls, and alerts while gaming. The V9 is available in Pearl Black and Gold priced at P17, 990 in the Philippines.
