The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It is a great book for any entrepreneur or business owner that will help in the key steps to take a business to the next level. In fact, if you own a business and you have not read this book I’d be hard pressed to imagine that you are maximizing the true potential of yourself, your organization and your business.

There is just one thing about this book that I felt was bit off. First off, I love a good story, but one thing that I just couldn’t quite get into was the story between ‘Sarah’ and Michael the author. The set up and examples were perfect but I found myself connecting the dots quicker than Sarah. Instead of helping me understand the concepts I constantly found myself skipping the parts of interaction between the two main actors. While it wasn’t as annoying as the half naked woman in the woods at night asking “what’s that, who’s there?” it still derailed for me the key themes of this amazing book.

This is one of those books that I feel most people will visit often, and in those visits take key concepts and begin implementing immediately. For myself this book has stayed on my bookshelf for quite a while and I just recently read it from cover to cover again.
