From Bitcoin’s big advantage over gold to a new cross-border payment network at Ripple, here’s a look at some of the stories breaking in the world of crypto. Despite the crypto slump, Bitcoin is settling more transaction volume than gold.

The latest numbers from and the London Bullion Market Association show BTC’s volume at nearly three times that of gold. Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin just gave his keynote speech at the Ethereum 2018 meetup in Zug, Switzerland.

The company has been piloting Ripple’s xRapid for months, which uses XRP to power cross-border payments. Tron founder Justin Sun is expanding on how the platform will integrate with BitTorrent.
