Monero is known for being one of the “privacy coins,” it is safe to use for those who want to have more layers of anonymity while using cryptocurrencies. The currency has been around for several years and its proven to be much more resilient compared to other competitors.

Unfortunately for the community, Ledger Wallet, one of the most important hardware wallets in the market, did not have an integration with Monero. Apparently, now it is being tested by Ledger and it is in Beta testing phase.

A Reddit user uploaded some pictures in which it is possible to see how Monero is being tested in a Ledger Nano S hardware wallet. It can be tested using “Ledger Manager” and “Show Developer Items.” Once it will be fully integrated, the community will be able to have safely stored their Monero, without depending on a cryptocurrency exchange.

Monero owners will have the possibility to become their “own bank” and protect their savings from hackers. At the moment of writing this article, Monero is the 11th cryptocurrency by market capitalization with a price per coin of $213 dollars and a Market Capitalization of $3.3 billion dollars.
