Posted: Mar 07, 2018 04:57 PM MST Lehi (News4Utah) – Adobe held a groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of their Lehi office building Wednesday. The expansion will nearly double their size by adding 160,000 square feet and expected to bring in 1,000 jobs during the next 20 years.

Adobe first moved to Utah when the company acquired Orem-based Omniture in 2009 and built its Lehi building in 2012. “It’s been really rewarding to reflect back.

We were here seven years ago. We did a fun ceremony, claiming the dirt here for the phase 1 building,” said Jonathan Francom, VP of Employee and Workplace Solutions at Adobe Lehi.

“This was pretty much an open field with no one around. We looked at some of these stats and what has happened since, 15,000 jobs committed and growing here in the last 7 years related to this tech industry boom here.”

Francom said he believes Adobe helped paved the way for the development of Silicon Slopes, peaking the interest of other businesses to come to Utah. “It is a massive amount of economic development and I think we were the main catalyst to drive some of that,” said Francom.
