In India, Publicis Media has appointed Ankush Talwar, formerly of online store Flipkart and loyalty programme Payback, as its Head of Data Science.Talwar (pictured) joins from performance marketing agency Neo[at]Ogilvy, where he was VP and Head of Analytics and Insights. Before this, he worked at Flipkart as Associate Director – Analytics; and Payback as Head of Customer Insights and then Leader – Big Data Analytics.

Earlier, he held senior roles at Accenture, WNS Global Services and American Express, where he was involved in marketing analytics, statistical modelling and simulations. Commenting on the appointment, Anupriya Acharya, CEO, Publicis Media India, said: ‘Ankush Talwar, with his strong and diverse background, has been handpicked to further enhance our capability building on data strategy and insights that includes overseeing platforms, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and data engineering.
