We thought it would be helpful to have a resources page where we could share the tools, products, and services that we recommend. Everything on this list we either actually use in our business or have used in the past (and recommend). We update this often so check back from time to time.
Disclosure: Please note some of the links below are affiliate links, and at no additional cost to you, we will earn a commission if you decide to purchase. Once again, we have experience with each and every one of these products or services and believe we recommend them because we find many of them indispensable in our business. We don’t recommend one system over another because of any commission we may make, we only recommend if we feel it could help you in your business. So let’s roll…
The Obligitory Shameless Plug
Curation Traffic – Our awesome WordPress Content Curation platform. It makes curating push button simple and has been designed to convert. You’ll also get access to our Curation Mastery Training.

ThemeForest – Where we find a ton of great themes. A few quick tips, ensure the theme has at least 4 starts, there is good communication in the comments, and it doesn’t contain to many features (future blog post here, sorry if it’s not here yet).
WooThemes – Another good source for quality WordPress Themes.
OptimizePress – Our goto landing page theme. In addition, it also is our theme of choice for our membership sites. Once you get a hang of setting up this theme launching a new product, sales site, or membership becomes a ton easier, really a must have theme.
OptInSkin – Easily create great looking opt-in forms and offers. Bought this day one and used it ever since.
Coming Soon & Maintenance – This is a great product, does two things really well. First it gives you the ability to create a maintenance mode for your site (maybe when your doing an update or changing a few things). It also is one of the best “coming soon” themes on the market.
Spy – Spy will share with you the theme that a site is running. It also tries to figure out what plugins are running the site. If you look at the image here you’ll notice the theme and plugins are clickable. Clicking it will pull up a Google search that 9 times out of 10 finds the right theme or plugin.
Twitter Tool – If your looking for a really good Twitter automation tool check this one out. It has auto following, auto unfollow, auto just about everything. It’s a must have if you want to be an advanced Twitter marketer.
Hootsuite – Our social management tool of preference. It’s not just for Twitter anymore, now with Facebook, Google+ and more.
S2Member – We launched our first product (Curation Traffic) with S2Member.
Digital Access Pass (DAP) – Here’s what we currently use for our membership sites. While slightly dated in it’s look it gets the job done. It also has a ton of features that allow power users of membership sites shine.
ZenDesk – If offer support for products or a membership site then ZenDesk is one of the best options. Once you’ve dived in a little bit you’ll realize it’s a pretty powerful system for support management.
Aweber – tried and tested email system. This is our primary list provider at this time and the one we recommend you get started with.
Bluehost – We have a few accounts with Bluehost and it’s typically where we start when we have a new idea or website. Highly recommend if you need an easy solution (click for special rate).
Servint – We’ve migrated a few sites over to Servint because we’ve outgrown the shared environment of bluehost. We are currently on a VPS and migrated from Bluehost. Servint’s customer service rocks and helped us every step of the way. Really good host for when you are ready to step up your game.
Outsourcing and Hiring
ODesk – Throughout the years we’ve this service to hire some great graphic designers, coders and other people to help us in our business. Before you jump in ensure you have your requirements nailed down, this will ensure you find the best person/team and save on costs.
Logos & Graphics – We’ve used this service a ton to get logos, marketing material, and a host of other graphic related stuff.
Must Have Site Protection
Sucuri – Protect your site. Early in 2012 one of our sites was infected by a TimThumb exploit and it took us about 24 hours to completely eradicate all the malware and scripts. Not a day we would like to repeat and was a wake up call for us to have security be top of mind. Please learn from our mistake.
Legal & Forms
LegalZoom – One of the best trusted sites for legal forms of all types. Also a great place to get some information regarding trademarks, business start up forms, and other legal related forms.
Video and Presentation
PowToon – This is what we used to do the Curation Traffic main page sales video. It was easy and simple once we got a hang of it, check it out!
TechSmith Camtasia (windows/mac) – If your using a Windows machine then this is probably the best screen capture program out there. The latest version has virtually unlimited tracks and has many improvements.
Easy Video Player – Okay, this video player really does rock. Perfect for membership sites, sales videos, plus a whole lot more. Get the developer version so you can remove branding and have more great features.
Snagit – Also from the same company gives you the ability.
Best Webinar Service – This service is great. Uses Google Hangouts and does much more than that. Still using GoToWebinar’s “Horse and Buggy” technology? Unlimited webinars and unlimited attendees. Other webinar platforms charge exponential fees as you grow your audience… Not here: there is no extra cost at all! Plus much more…
Easy Theme/Plugin Upgrades – Hate having to de-activate, delete plugins and themes to update them? We do too, so we found this nice plugin that asks you if you want to update if the theme or plugin already exists.
PowerPress (podcasting) – Podcasting is a great way to create content and it would be really tough to get it done without this plugin.
Pretty Link – Turn your links (such as affiliate links) into great looking and easy to remember URLs.
more to come here…
